Terms of Service

1. What VouchHaven is

VouchHaven ("VouchHaven", "we", "us"), operated by Haynes Lab, is a free, advertising-supported review platform. Businesses can create a public profile and collect customer reviews at no charge; visitors can read reviews and, with an account, write them.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Haynes Lab. By using VouchHaven you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Accounts

You need an account to write reviews, claim a business, or manage a business profile. Accounts are created through third-party sign-in (such as Google or Apple) or, for business and admin users, email and password.

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Reviews: the rules that matter

Reviews must describe a genuine, first-hand experience with the business. By submitting a review you confirm that it is honest, based on your own experience, and not exchanged for payment or incentive from the business unless we explicitly marked it as invited.

Reviews are immutable once submitted. If you believe a review violates these Terms, flag it with a reason — our team reviews every flag.

We do not allow: fake or purchased reviews; reviews by the business itself, its employees, or its competitors acting in bad faith; illegal content; content naming or targeting private individuals; harassment, hate, or threats; spam, links, or advertising; and content you don't have the right to share.

Every review is screened before publication by an automated system that considers the content and account signals (such as IP intelligence and posting velocity). Reviews scoring below our threshold are declined; borderline reviews are held for human review. We may decline, hold, or remove any review at our discretion, and we don't disclose the specific signals that triggered a decision.

If a review you wrote is declined, your ability to post further reviews may be suspended. Accounts engaged in manipulation — including businesses attempting to damage competitors — may be permanently blocked.

4. Your content, your license to us

You keep ownership of reviews and other content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on VouchHaven and in connection with operating and promoting the service (including in widgets embedded on third-party sites).

We display reviewer names only as first name and last initial, and we never publish your email address.

5. Business profiles and claiming

Anyone may create a business listing with accurate basic information. Only a person authorized by the business may claim its profile. Claiming requires proving control of the business's website domain (for example by uploading a verification file). We may revoke claims made without authorization.

Claimed businesses may respond to reviews, update their profile, and invite customers to review. Responses and invitations are subject to the same content rules as reviews. Businesses may not offer incentives for positive reviews, pressure customers to change or remove reviews, or misrepresent their identity.

Business profiles may include reviews imported from third-party platforms at the request of the business or as part of directory seeding. If you own a listed business and want it corrected or removed, contact us and we will act promptly.

6. Widgets and embeds

We offer embeddable widgets for displaying ratings on external websites. Widgets may be used as provided, unmodified, and may not be used to misrepresent ratings or to imply endorsement by VouchHaven.

7. Advertising

VouchHaven is free because it is funded by advertising (including Google AdSense). Ads are labeled and never influence ratings, review ordering, or moderation decisions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape or bulk-collect data from VouchHaven; probe or circumvent our moderation, rate limits, or security controls; interfere with the service's operation; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or use the service for anything unlawful.

9. Intellectual property

The VouchHaven name, logo, design, and software are the property of Haynes Lab. Third-party trademarks (including platform names referenced on import pages) belong to their owners; references are nominative and do not imply endorsement.

10. Disclaimers and liability

VouchHaven is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Reviews reflect the opinions of their authors, not ours; we don't guarantee their accuracy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haynes Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability is limited to $100.

11. General

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, and disputes will be resolved in its courts. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
